PMWGA STANDING RULES
1.  New members may join without an EHN: EZ Links or GHIN (Equitable Handicap Network) handicap, but must submit scorecards for 5 rounds of golf to be eligible to enter Play of theDay games.  Prize money ($2.00) is included each week in green fees.

2.  USGA Rules govern all play.

3.  PMWGA will play every Friday, January thru April, November, and December witha 9AM shotgun start unless specified otherwise.  A general meeting is held in the lounge on the first Friday of each month, after golf, with pairings made by the Pairings Chairwoman.

4.  For eligibility and not limiteed to the President’s Cup and Club Championship Tourneys, a player must have a current EZ Links (GHIN) handicap and have played 5 PMWGA league days during the 12 months prior to the tournament.  The 5 cannot include tournament play.

5.  Score cards must be posted every time a member plays an 18-hole round of golf, regardless of where or with whom the round was played.

6.  All putts must be holed out.

7.  Pairings Committee will assign playing partners.  When cancellations are necessary, please call Jeanne Lander 981-9870 on or before 7AM on any day of play.  Green fees may be assessed for "No Shows" who don’t call.

8.  PMWGA plays to a 40 handicap.


ADDTIONAL INFORMATION
1.  EAGLES, BIRDIES, & GOBBLES: Individual cards are available to record eagles,birdies, and gobbles made during play on Fridays.  Competition begins in January and ends on the first week of play in December.  Pins are given for eagle or birdie scored holes (one per member per year) and a golf ball is given for a gobble or "chip in" (no limitation).

2.  CAGD BLIND DRAW: On the second Friday in January, February, March, April, and November, a "Blind Draw" is conducted and collected by the CAGD Representative.  Fee is $1.00 each month.

3.  DUES: Regular membership is $45.00 per calendar year (January thru December) due annually by November 15th.  Dues include Handicap, State, and CAGD fees.  New members joining PMWGA in the fall will pay a $5.00 membership fee for the remainder of the year.

4.  GUESTS: Guests are welcome, but can’t compete for prizes and are limited to 3 rounds of golf at the regular posted course rate.

5.  HANDICAPPING: As per USGA, a handicap is based on the lowest 10 scores of the last 20 games played on an 18-hole regulation golf course.

6.  SCORE CARDS:  The Handicap Committee Chairwoman is responsible for accurately posting a score in the computer.  Scores must be posted for every league play day. The handicap card must show the Gross Score, Handicap, and "Adjusted Score" before it is turned in.  See table below for "adjusting" a score.  Full names must always be listed on all score cards.  All handicap, play of the day, and tournament cards must be legible and signed. Failure to comply could mean the card will be disqualified.  Play of the Day cards should show only the score of the event of the day.

7.  MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Competition begins in January and ends on the first day of of play in December and is determined solely by handicap.  Awarded in December.

8.  RINGERS AND 29 CLUB: Individual cards are available to record improved scores on each hole during Friday league play and a register is posted for 29 putts or less on play days for 29 Club.  Competition begins in January and ends on the first day of play in December.

9.  GOLF ETIQUETTE:  Practice courtesy, consideration, and sportmanship.  Players must play without delay.  Always keep up with the group ahead of you.  If you must delay because of a lost ball, let the group behind you play through.  USGA Rules limit a seach for a lost ball to 5 minutes.  Do not leave bags, pull carts, or electric carts in front of the green.  Leave clubs on the side of the green closest to the next tee.  Be ready to putt when it’s your turn.  When finishing a hole, players should immediately leave the green.  Wait until arriving at the next tee to write down the scores.

10.  DO NOT leave cell phones on during league play.
